Providing peace and tranquillity, Mulberry Lodge is a barn conversion with elegant furnishings, lofty ceilings and inviting bedrooms; this really is an oasis of comfort and relaxation. With several golf courses, local theatres and historical venues within a 5 mile radius, all tastes and interests can be catered for.
During your stay you can enjoy the hotel’s delicious Italian meals and range of drinks served in the lounge area. In addition, you can enjoy the local country pubs serving traditional English meals.

All children are welcome. All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years are charged GBP 10.00 per night and person for cots. A hearty breakfast of local produce is served inside or out, weather permitting, and this delightful bed and breakfast also offers a wonderful Italian menu delivered from The Gables restaurant to the front door for your evening meal. Drinks are also available.
Please note: the Italian restaurant closed on Sundays and Mondays, alternatives are available.
The Mulberry Lodge Hertford is right between the A10, the A1 and the M25.
By Car (from the north):
- Coming from the north, from the village of Little Berkhamsted, going towards Epping Green, the Five Horseshoes pub will be on the left-hand side.
- Follow the road straight on and out of the village, past the Beehive Pub and you will come to a turning on the left, signposted Bayford and Broxbourne.
- Do not take this turning, proceed straight on and the entrance to Mulberry Lodge is 200 metres further on, on the left-hand side.
By Car (from the south):
- Coming from the south, from Newgate Street village towards Little Berkhamsted, you will see the entrance to Mulberry Lodge after three-quarter of a mile (1.25 km) on the right-hand side.
Parking:
Parking is available for guests’ use, free of charge, in the secure car park, which has a gated entrance.
By Train:
Bayford, Broxbourne, Cuffley and Hatfield train stations are within easy reach and each of these stations is approximately 20 minutes by train from central London.
